Olympic's New Temper Line Caps Months of Expansion

Cleveland-based Olympic Steel has cut the ribbon on its new temper mill/cut-to-length complex there, one which CEO Michael Siegal sees capping a year of expansion and progress that included an initial public stock offering and an investment in tailored welded blank producer Lafayette Steel. The new Herr-Voss leveling line, with a four-high temper mill segment provided by Intergrated Industrial Systems (I2S), adds 120,000 tpy of process capability for Olympic in the expanding market of service centers raising the profile of their value-adding capability.
