Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau and Techint Compagnia Tecnica Internazionale agreed to merge their respective product lines for continuous billet casters and long-product rolling mills into a joint venture, VAI Pomini.VAI Pomini will be based in Italy with design/marketing centers in Austria, the U.K., and Pittsburgh.
