One of disadvantages when operating oil and gas wells is high absorption of filter part of productive intervals. It is known that formation rocks consist of units with different permeability. Formation water flows to the bottomhole zone via the units with higher permeability. This results in reduction of oil flow rate, thus isolation of lost-circulation zones is very important. During many years of development of oil fields isolation of these zones was accomplished using cementing and chemical reagents. However, use of these methods was limited by high costs of cement and chemical reagents. Efficiency was also declining year after year.
