摘要

Since underground power cables operate at the maximum possible conductor current, heat dissipation from the conductor to the surrounding soil plays a crucial role in evaluating the performance of buried cable systems. The current-carrying capacity mostly depends on the conductor temperature: when it is too high, the cable can overheat.
