The use of the energy criterion of stability loss makes it possible to take into account besides the potential energy of bending only the work of specified external forces [1-3]. Based on the energy criterion of Timoshenko and Bryan, we solve a problem of determining the critical load of a one-layer plate with the central hole of the R radius, the solution allows the degree of the load-carrying capacity decrease of a damaged plate to be analytically estimated.
