A distance classroom using high quality video stream on the Japan gigabit network

摘要

We had distance classroom between Saga University and Keio University using high quality video transfer system on the high speed Internet environment. The system can transfer high quality video stream captured by digital camcorder to the other site through the Internet. The quality provides smooth and live communication environment to us. The classroom carried out 9 times from Sep. to Nov., of this year. This paper describes outline of the classroom, details of the system and consideration for a distance classroom of next generation.
