摘要

We developed a new system that can totally automate a microarray process from well fabrication until fluorescence measurement using Digital Micromirror Device (DMD). The microarray was fabricated by maskless photolithography of photoresist SU-8 exposed by DMD. This method can fabricate up to 10,000 wells in one inch square area. Fluorescence of the rnicroarray was sequentially measured by excitation of individual well using DMD. Detection of the fluorescence was performed by a photomultiplier tube (PMT). For the system evaluation, we measured a microarray of 25 wells (1 μL/well) that were filled up with Lucifer Yellow (a fluorescent material) aqueous solution. As a result, the system with a dichroic mirror to reflect an excitation ray in 90 deg can measure 0.01 mg/mL on signal to noise ratio of 7.51.
