[Invited Talk] One-Time Password Authentication Methods

摘要

Internet and mobile communication applications for managing personal information have been developing. Those application systems need password authentications to protect users' right from attacker. Password authentication is useful when the password is directly inputted in authentication terminals. However, communication data through the Internet can be easily intercepted and can be replayed. Similarly, in password authentication systems, the password data can be replayed, and the attacker can access to the system using the password data. One-time password authentication methods solve replay attacks by changing authentication data every session. In this paper, the technique and the trend of the one-time password authentication methods are explained.
