Since the last decade, for the reason of fostering the competitiveness by reducing the cost and cycle time of product design and manufacturing, collaborative and distributed product development has become a global trend in the manufacturing and service industry. The increasing outsourcing activity requires a large amount of data sharing between focal organizations and collaborators in a complex design and supply chain environment. Simultaneously, focal organizations should maintain their competitive advantages through protecting their core competences. In this context, secure collaboration is becoming a critical research topic in collaborative global design and supply chain management, which aims to achieve an optimal competitiveness for organizations.
