Application of production planning and scheduling in the process industries

摘要

Information systems for production planning and scheduling in the process industries have to meetindustry-specific demands. One of the most important requirements is the integration of all logisticsystems and other systems, e.g., process control systems. The paper gives an overview of importantrequirements for logistic systems and presents principles and concepts for achieving informationintegration. The design of a standard software solution is presented as an example of an industry-specific integrated solution.
