摘要

This study was carried out to develop precision direct drill seeder with controls of seed depth for direct sowing of rice on paddy field. In this paper, the development of two measuring devices for soil surface hardness that effects the seeding accuracy was discussed. The one is a soil surface hardness meter that detects the injection depth of a cone-type sensor from land-level in the range of 0-55mm. The other is a soil surface hardness sensor, constructed with a gage-wheel that follows on the soil surface and a sensor-wheel that varies its injection depth with soil hardness. The angle of these wheels had a strong relation to the soil surface hardness meter.
