Siemens program combines current computational simulations with classical experimental verifications. Siemens' SST-600 steam turbine product line has been expanded and advanced to best fit the customer's requirements, based on a modular building block system. For optimal customers' economics, the turbines can be packaged for mechanical drive applications. Such application covers exhaust sizes starting at 1.8 sq.ft. (0.17 m~2) up to 47.4 sq.ft. (4.4 m~2), thereby ranging from about 10,700 to 161,000 hp (8 to 120 MW) (for some specific steam cycle conditions this may vary upward).
