GAS HOGS BRING LIFE TO LOW-PRODUCTIVITY WELLS

Gas Field Innovators Has Developed a Compressor Package for Marginal Wells. Cost-effective production from low-productivity gas wells has always been a challenge. In addressing that challenge, Gas Field Innovators (GFI) of Linden, Alberta, Canada, specifically developed the Gas Hog as a booster for marginal wells, said Anand Stephen, sales and marketing manager for GFI. "Gas Hogs use slow-speed reciprocating compressors that have high reliability, low operating costs and are quiet. We completed the first unit in 1997 and now have more than 110 in service. The overall design has changed little since the units were first introduced, but its operation has been continuously improved," he said.
