Take products from design to the shop floor

There's a new generation machining solution on the market, and it's based in part on CATIA Version 4 NC and CATIA Machinist. CATIA Version 5 Manufacturing from Dassault Systemes features a computeraided manufacturing (CAM) offering that is currently Prismatic Machining 2 (PMG), 3-Axis Surface Machining 2 (SMG), and Multi-Axis Surface Machining 2 (MMG). Additional products, such as Lathe Machining, will be added to CATIA Version 5 in 2001. Aggressive product development continues with three releases per year; these are slated to be Release 6, Release 7, and Release 8. CATIA Version 5 Release 6 was the software evaluated.
