摘要

A superelasticity of the shape-memory axially compressed quasistoichioraetric Ni-Mn-Ga alloy is studied within the framework of the Landau theory with two-component order parameter. The stress and strain values characterizing the superelastic stress-strain loops are evaluated using the experimental temperature dependence of the shear elastic modulus. The superelastic strain characterizing the stress-induced martensitic transformation is shown to be always smaller than the spontaneous strain arising on cooling of the specimen, Reasonable agreement between the theoretical results and available experimental data is demonstrated.
