In this review, we present the most significant aspects of the reactivity of [MoO_2(acac)_2] toware (i) phenylhy-drazine and its p-substituted derivatives, R-P-C_6H_4NHNH_2 (R = Me, MeO, Cl, NO_2), (ii) N,N-disubstituted hydrazines, phRNNH_2 (R = Me, Ph), and (iii) N,N-disubstituted hydrazinium halides, phRNNH~+_3X~- (R = Me, ph; X = Cl, Br, I) in alcohols and acetonitrile. In particular, we emphasize the versatility of [MoO_2 (acac)_2] as a precursor for a number of mono~-, di-and tetranuclear organodinitrogen molybdenum complexes containig diazenido, NNR, hydrazido(2-), NNRR, and hydrazido(1-), NHNRR', ligands
