There were studied physicochemical (pH, redox-potential, electroconductivity) and spectral parameters of the alkaline metal chlorides (Li, K, Cs) anolytes. From comparison of these anolyte parameters between diaphragm and nondiaphragm electrolyzers it is seen that in case of potassium chloride in the diaphragm electrolyzer anolyte at low pH (2-3) is formed hypochlorous acid. After titration of the formed solution with potassium hydroxide at pH 5-6 the hypochlorous acid content is decreases, and at pH 8-9 potassium hypochloride is formed as well after solution treatment in nondiaphragm electrolyzer. In cases of Li and Cs the molecular chlorine is formed in the diaphragm electrolyzer anolyte, and in the nondiaphragm electrolyzer solution corresponding hypochlorides are formed. An analysis of molecular chlorine, hypochlorous acid and hipochlorides was performed according to spectra at titration of solutions with sodium thiosulfate. Heating of solutions completely removes the molecular chlorine, significantly decreases hypochlorous acid content and slightly decreases hypochlorides 0,145 M potassium chloride in potassium phosphate buffer after the diaphragm and nondiaphragm electrolyzers treatment contains hypochlorous acid and potassium hypochloride at the same time, at pH 7,0-7,5.
