The article gives elements to answer a few questions:Are Nanotechnologies a logical and rational continuation of Microtechnologies or do they represent a revolution in many aspects of Sciences and Technologies?What are the conditions to be able to combine long term basic sciences and innovations which can be rapidly transferred in the industry (or on the 'market').
