Lukoil Gets Customized Turboexpander: L.A. Turbine sends unit to gas processing plant; four more to follow

L.A. Turbine Inc. has shipped its first L2000 turboexpander-compressor to Lukoil's gas processing plant at Perm. The Lukoil processing plant has a capacity of 20 Bcfy (560 × 10~6 m~3/yr). The project is Lukoil's second processing unit for low temperature condensation and fractionation. L.A. Turbine said this is the first unit of its kind to be installed at Lukoil and in Russia overall, with commissioning scheduled for mid-summer 2014. The expander-compressor unit with lube oil and seal gas system and programmable logic control (PLC) panel was designed and manufactured at L.A. Turbine's Valencia, California, facility.
