Larvae of tenebrionid beetles of the tribe Toxicini and notes on the systematic position of this group in family Tenebrionidae (Coleoptera)

Toxicini are one of the small peculiar groups of Tenebrionidae, the taxonomic position, constitution, and relationships of which are recently the subjects of a special discussion. A new supplemented diagnosis and a key to the Toxicini larvae, including previously unknown larval forms, are given; biological characteristics of some species are studied. Possible relations of Toxicini with other groups of the tenebrionoid branch of the family based on the comparative morphological analysis are discussed.
