The changes in the geometric pattern of the pore space of plowed gray forest soils during their mechanical compaction by wheel tractors and subsequent decompaction (regeneration of structure) under the effect of natural processes have been studied. Transformation of macro- and mesopores under the impact of wheel compaction of a different intensity is discussed separately. The possibilities for the regeneration of the pore space structure of compacted soils during one growing sea.son are considered.
