摘要

The soil nutritive regime under boreal forests is studied by the example of Al-Fe-humus podzols. Spatial and seasonal variability in the content of available nutrients is examined. The factors controlling this variability are specified, and the roleof stands is estimated. Upper organic horizon (Forest litter) of the investigated podzols under boreal forests was found to accumulate considerable amounts of nutrients. The development of this horizon is considered an adaptation of boreal forest ecosystems to the nutrient-deficient environment.
