摘要

The science and technology of conjugated polymer-based photovoltaic devices(bulk heterojunction solar cells)is highlighted focusing on three major issues,i.e.(i)nano-morphology optimization,(ii)improving charge carrier mobility,(iii)improving spectral sensitivity.Successful strategies towards improved photovoltaic performance are presented using various novel materials,including double-cable polymers,regioregular polymers and low bandgap polymers.The examples presented herein demonstrate that the bulk heterojunction concept is a viable approach towards developing photovoltaic systems by inexpensive solution-based fabrication technologies.
