摘要

The trigeminal ganglion (TrG) is composed by primary sensory neurons surrounding satellite cells and nerve fibres in the neuropil. Using lightmicroscopic methods trigeminal neurons of different cell size have been visualized in the human TrG. Among them pseudounipolar neurons are the main cell type and they receive nerve impulses from sensory nerve terminals. It was shown that stored pigments are a result of age alterations. We may conclude that the TrG is a related station that receives sensory information, processes it and transmits the signal to the central nervous system.
