摘要

A dual polarization rectangular parallel plate slot-pair array antenna panel is proposed for application in a Synthetic Aperture Radar on an earth observation satellite. Multi-objective genetic algorithm is used to obtain an optimized preliminary antenna panel configuration. Simulation and design in electromagnetic CAD software (HFSS) is carried out. The designed panel is fabricated and electrical characteristics measured. The fabricated panel shows aperture efficiency of 50.1% and 49.2% at 9.65 GHz for RHCP and LHCP beams respectively.
