This paper experimentally investigated interference suppression effect of parallel-type coherent multistage interference canceller (COMSIC) with recursive channel estimation using both pilot and decision-feedback data symbols at each canceling stage in W-CDMA reverse link The experimental results showed that by using the channel estimation with decision feedback data symbols after channel decoding, the required transmit E{sub}b/N{sub}0 of the 2-stage COMSIC receiver at the average BLR of 10{sub}(-3) was almost identical to that of 3-stage COMSIC when fast transmit power control and antenna diversity reception were used It was also showed that the required transmit E{sub}b/N{sub}0 of 2-stage COMSIC receiver with channel estimation using both pilot and decision-feedback data symbols alter channel decoding could he decreased by approximately 0.5 dB compared to that using channel estimation with only pilot symbols, irrespective of maximum Doppler frequency number of multi-paths and interference power.
