摘要

We analysed a balanced antipodal Vivaldi antenna for optimization of antenna shape and size, by FDTD method for broad band radiation. FDTD simulation shown good agreement with experiment, and we could obtain an antenna working 0.1-6GHz Then we applied the developed antenna to detection mine-like targets by using a GPR system based on a vector network analyser. The target include metal and non-metal target, and both the targets were buried in a dry sand. Radar data acquire at 0.1-6GHz was used for radar imaging, and we could clearly show the images of the buried targets. The achieved resolution is better than a few cm. The experiment result shows that the GPR system with the developed antenna has very high resolution and suitable for mine detection.
