The results of thermodynamic analysis of the process of copper continuous producing from copper nickel-containing matte are presented. The influence of the most important factors (equilibrium Pso , temperature, slag composition and initial matte composition) on copper and nickel distribution in twin-layer and triple-layer conditions of continuous converting is analysed; as well as operating conditions without slag heterogeneity reaching for magnetite. The obtained results can be used for testing the technology of continuous converting of nickel-containing slags for metallic copper in Vanyukov furnaces or other heating units, including those using oxygen enriched blowing.
