Progressive technology for production of zinc wire is described. It includes two stages: wire rod production via continuous casting in round-robin crystallizer combined with rolling (with bundle mass up to 200 kg and bundle diameter 7.2 mm) and 1.5-3.0 mm wire drawing on VSKTs-1 8 drawing machine. Technological parameters of the processes are presented as well as roll pass design and construction of dies and composition of technological lubricants. These parameters provide operation stability1 high quality of wire and yield as much as 95.7-98 percent
