Construction of electric ore smelting slag direct current furnace with polarization of liquid metal bottom phase is developed. This furnace allowed to exclude excessive crust formation on a bottom and to realize advantages of electrolysis of molten mediums in industrial conditions of electric technological processes of hard non-ferrous metals metallurgy. Among these advantages - electrochemical metals reduction, intensification of sublimation of volatiles, electric capillary effects - are mentioned. Theoretical prerequisites and calculation elements for a furnace and automatic control system are described.
