一都五県水試等による高精度海況図の作製技術開発及び共同発行並びに高精度海況図の活用

Fisheries research institutes in the Tokyo Metropolis, Chiba, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Mie, and Wakayama prefectures, and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology have jointly developed the technology to create daily reports of the sea conditions with a high- resolution in the offshore area from Kanto to Tokai. The daily reports, include the daily position of the Kuroshio, which is predicted from the sea surface temperature (SST) and sea level, are constructed by synthesizing the measured in situ temperature and satellite temperature data. In comparison with the old version of the report, the new report covers a wider area and provides high resolution color images of temperature using quality control data. The daily report has been distributed by FAX and homepage every day to fishermen and other people from April, 2008, except on weekends and public holidays.
