京都国立博物館平成知新館の照明デザイン

摘要

The Kyoto National Museum and Heisei Chishinkan Wing are east of Kyoto Station and across from the famous Sanjusangendo Temple, and display various Kyoto's national treasures. Planning and construction took 16 years, and they were opened on September 13, 2014. Rapid strides of LED lighting made for repeated revisions to the lighting design. All of the Museum's display lighting uses the latest in LED. In order to preserve the exhibits, the most important task in designing the lighting was to ensure that it presented them at their very best. The design was to make the lighting fixtures as inconspicuous as possible.
