摘要

Charge-transfer (CT) complex is defined as a pair of molecular groups,where one is electron-donating (donor) and the other is electron-accepting i (acceptor) group and where there is partial transfer of electron charge from the i donor to the acceptor in excited molecular state. CT complexes represent transi-tion between the excited molecular state and ground state and almost all CT: complexes have unique absorption bands in the ultraviolet-visible region of spectrum, The interaction between donor and acceptor is not only a charge-transfer interaction but also an expression of electrostatic force action. Thei interaction between donor and acceptor is usually much weaker than inter-;actions esponsible for formation of the hydrogen bond and the covalent bond,I but nevertheless it is useful for constructing crystal structure.
