Noise Properties of Low Impedance Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor

摘要

We have developed, utilizing the structural features of multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLC), a new MLC with low impedance for a wide frequency range. This MLC was constructed from plural capacitors with different capacity in one chip, and the impedance-frequency properties of this MLC showed plural minimum impedance frequencies, as a result, the low impedance range could become wider. We evaluated the noise property of this MLC. This MLC in parallel connection with a Tantalum electrolytic capacitor and a conventional MLC were compared in consideration of capacitance provided by notebook personal computer. Noise properties obtained with plural capacitors could be obtained with one chip. As a result, it becomes possible to reduce the mounted area and component mark by using this MLC.
