Multilayer Winding Configuration of Cold-Cathode Fluorescent Lamp Transformer Design

Recently, color LCDs(Liquid Crystal Display)have been widely used in many electronic equipment, such as personal computer, camcorder and compact TV. Furthermore, it started to adopt them for indicators in dashboard of the car and amusement equipment. Therefore, smaller, more effective and cheaper transformer used for inverter of back-light system for LCDs are demanded. In order to meet these market demand, we have developed a new transformer using new winding and insulation structure, consisting of primary coil winding on a divided bobbin and secondary coil pile-winded over the primary coil. By using this structure, both of high withstanding voltage and small size have been realized.
