摘要

We have succeeded in developing 980 to 1060nm in-line optical isolators employing (Cd,Mn,Hg)(Te,Se) crystals. A practical 980nm in-line optical isolator, which has an insertion loss of <0.8dB, an isolation of >= 40dB, a main frame size of PHI 10 X 44mm and endurance against laser power of 0.4W, has been achieved for bi-directional pumped EDFA. In-line optical isolators employing these crystals can be practical in the wave-length from 980 to 1100nm.
