A series of tests aimed at obtaining high antifriction properties in gray iron have been conducted, [or which purpose antimony was used as an additive. The tests have shown that the friction coefficient of antimony iron is 20 percent lower that of SCh 15-32 and ductile iron. This property remains in abrasion conditions up to 750...850 deg C.
