摘要

Theoretical basis of direct measurement method of buoyancy period (frequency) with depth is presented. Method is based on registration of displacements and oscillations of a hydrodynamic wake behind a free ascending gas bubble in a quiescentliquid (density marker method). An achievable accuracy of such measurements is estimated by comparison of theoretical calculations of parameters of internal waves, generated by free submerging thin wake with uniform transverse distribution of density inan exponentially stratified liquid, with experimental ones and the error does not exceed 5 %. Power law of internal wave amplitude decrease with time is discovered.
