摘要

Spatial stability and penetration ability of the low-current ac arc at welding of thin-sheet aluminum are investigated. Arc power is performed from inverter source. It provides for square output voltage form and variation possibility of the amplitude and current pulses with normal and opposite polarity duration. It's stated that for penetration firm improvement (welds with reduction) the welding should be realized at minimal possible values of amplitude and opposite polarity current pulses duration. It depends from necessity to provide the cathode cleaning quality of the surface to be welded and stable repeated arc excitements.
