摘要

Whenever the operation of a device is associated with sliding, abrasion needs to be minimized asmuch as possible. Measures generally taken for the reduction of wear include the use of lubricantsand low-friction agents, and hardening of the surfaces. In addition, the use of the magnetic effect hasalso recently been attempted. Experiments were conducted to reveal the relationship between material types or slidingconditions and the effect of a magnetic field, and a model test applying this technique to the drivingunits of elevators was carried out. The results confirmed that the technique of using magnetismimproves driving performance and reduces wire rope wear.
