Construction work of the high temperature engineering test reactor(HTTR)

The construction of the HTTR commenced with excavation for the building foundation in March 1991. The installaion of all the equipment was accomplished in November 1996. Fuji Electric completed the construction of the main systems, such as thereactor internals and fuel handling and storage systems, according to the master schedule. During the work, Fuji Electric consistently had stringent control over quality work execution, safety and work progress, and made the most of its long experience in plant construction. A record of 320,000-hour construction work without a personal injury was attained.
