摘要

Oxidizing odorous gas in a regenerative furnace is the most applicable way to keep the running cost low, when a large amount of odorous gas arising in plants is to be handled. IHI has developed its own specific deodorizing facility and built a test facility, which can handle a throughput of 500 m{sup}3N/h. Experiments have been performed with model gases (acetaldehyde, ammonia, propane) and revealed a high efficiency of deodorization (odor concentration of 25 to 125), at 700 to 1000℃. The features of IHI regenerative thermal deodorizer and results of tests concerning its performance are reported.
