摘要

Optimization of the dimensions of boiler furnaces and arrangement of burners has become important to cope with recent environmental problems and the need for high efficiency power plants. The coal properties, the design parameters and the boileroperation method will inevitably affect the performance of pulverized coal fired boilers, but the exact prediction of boiler performance is difficult in the early stage of boiler design. Numerical simulation can offer relatively good predictions in theearly stage under assumed conditions. This paper will introduce the numerical simulation code, VEGA-3, which has the DO method expanded to the general coordinates system, and will report simulation results.
