摘要

The IHI-FW 350 MW Orimulsion and oil fired supercritical variable pressure once-through steam generator for Shiriuchi Power Station No.2 boiler, Hokkaido Electric Power Co., Inc. started commercial operation in September 1998. The boiler is thefirst constructed for use of Orimulsion in utility boilers in Japan. Orimulsion is an emulsion fuel of natural bitumen in water and contains high sulfur, vanadium and ash levels. Therefore, fouling, GAH ash deposit, blockade and corrosion must beconsidered. The design feature and operating results of Shiriuchi No.2 boiler required for the use of Orimulsion are described.
