Predation on breeding pairs of Ryukyu kajika frogs by a crab and a snake were observed at the breeding site. Although the observed number of breeding pairs was much smaller than that of solo males, the targets of two predation incidents observed in this survey were both breeding pairs, suggesting that predators selectively prey on pairs in amplexus.
