Purse-string suture for management of late-onset infectious keratitis with scar dehiscence after radial keratotomy.

With the advent of excimer laser refractive procedures, radial keratotomy (RK) is rarely being performed for correction of myopia. However, vision-threatening complications in eyes that have undergone RK may be occasionally encountered in clinical practice. We report an interesting case of Staphylococcus epidermidis keratitis with scar dehiscence, which occurred 20 years after the RK procedure and was successfully managed with a purse-string suture resulting in good visual outcome.
