The scheme and property of a radiator, which has linear and helical dipoles arranged coaxialy and connected near the point of excitation, are presented. It is shown, that using of radiators as elements of a log-periodic antenna (LPA) array allows one to reduce both the length of radiating elements and the LPA length. Result of design and electrical parameters calculation and results of experimental research of electrical characteristics of the LPA are presented.
