The two-band receiver and Cassegrain illumination system of the BMSTU Radiotelescope TR-7.5

To receive more information about processes at the Sun the two-band receiver was designed. By means of this receiver the intensity of radiation at the wavelengths 2.2 and 3.2 mm can be measured in every direction simultaneously. The receiver couldnot be placed in the primary focus of the antenna, therefore the antenna was equipped with the Cassegrain system of illumination. The phase centers of two receiving horns are combined at the system axis by means of quasioptical devices with a frequency-selective surface (FSS).
