摘要

A new corrosion prevention method for splash andtidal zone of steel piers has been developed by using titanium clad steel sheet.Shear strength of joining interface of titanium clad steel sheet ishigher level than that of laminated steel sheet or adhesive interface.Shear fatigue limit of joining interface exceeds the estimatedstrength value due to thermal expansion.TIG welding method is recommended to mount the titanium cladsteel sheet with steel piers. For butt welding method, it isrecommended that titanium sheet for covering at welding zone iswelded at the corner to cover metal of titanium clad steel sheetafter base metal is overlay welded in the groove.
