Out-of-roundness of pipes. Part II. Measurement of form of cross section and analysis of additional pressures from internal pressure

摘要

The article describes operating principle of designed device for measurement of real pipes form. The results of measurements of the form deviations for pipes with diameter of 1420 mm of various manufacturers, including for pipe on which stress-corrosion cracks are found are stated. It is shown that the meaning of the additional bending stresses from defects of form at the result of effect of internal pressure is rather high and can be one of the main reasons of occurrence of cracks.
